The Crystal Lake Park District really does have summer camp planning covered and, more importantly, there is a camp to fit every need. This year’s Summer Camp Survival Guide lists the many camp options offered at the park district. Families can choose an American Camp Association-accredited Full Day Camp (ages 3-16), District 47 Summer After School Camp, Preschool Enrichment Camp, Social Butterfly Preschool Camp, Sports Camps, Dance Camp, Pom Pon Camp, History Camp, Chess/ Math Camps and Robotics Engineering Camp.
Camp ECHO is ready and in full force this summer! This camp for children and teens in kindergarten through 8th grade is jam-packed with a variety of non-stop activities that will keep your child going for the entire day. Camp ECHO is located in the beautiful Fel-Pro RRR Conservation Area in Cary. The majority of the day is spent outside where children play, exercise, gain independence, learn life skills, make friends and have a memorable summer. In addition to arts, crafts, sports and games, campers will explore the outdoors through fishing, hiking, scavenger hunts and more. Plus, campers swim at the park district pool and go on a field trip each week. Also offered for younger children are Sunshine Camp (ages 3-5) and Tiny Tots Camp (ages 2-3) allowing young children to gain independence, make friends and work on those important social and motor skills.

Changing the Chatter: Celebrating ChatterGirls program goes beyond public education to assist young girls in developing life skills for becoming confident, strong young women. Girls meet for five consecutive days, June 26-30 or August 7-11. All participants receive a goody bag including T-shirt, journal and more!
Keep kids active all summer at Immanuel Lutheran Summer Camps for grades K-6. Seven sport camps and eight education camps, June 7-August 4, additional camps include Snapology using LEGOS. Draw, paint, sculpt and sew at Creative Arts Inc. Studio Art Camps. Weekly camps for ages 4-17 run June through August, Mon-Thurs, 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Explore exciting new projects each week, led by professional artists and instructors. Outdoor lunch fun in the Dole Mansion’s spacious lawns and gardens, plus a mini field trip to the beach, will keep your young artist active and inspired to make art. Try oil pastels, watercolors, acrylic painting on canvas, fantasy/sci-fi, anime-style drawing, clay, and more – all in just four days! Drawing, painting, pottery and more happen at The Studio’s famous summer art camps. Each week brings a fresh variety of projects that challenge and engage the imagination and inspire your child’s creativity while developing art skills under the guidance of our dedicated staff. Weekly camps are 10-11:30 a.m. Monday-Thursday for grades 1st through 3rd; and from 1-2:30 p.m. for grades 4th through 8th. For grades 1st through 6th, a canvas and easel paint-a-long offering will guide campers though a new painting each day. Paint-a-long times are 6-7 p.m. on Wednesdays; and 4-5 p.m. on Thursdays.
