FHPC Dental Event
Along with other free and charitable clinics across Illinois, Family Health Partnership Clinic (FHPC) is celebrating the third annual Free and Charitable Clinics Month August 2017. Community members are encouraged to visit the clinic on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 5-7 to celebrate the opening of dental services. The Clinic is located at 401 E. Congress Parkway, Crystal Lake.
It is estimated that at least 20,000 McHenry County residents lack health insurance for a variety of reasons, including cost, eligibility or other barriers. These individuals can access essential health care services through free and charitable clinics. Family Health Partnership Clinic provides primary care, dental care and some specialty care through a mix of volunteers and paid staff.
“Our clinic fills a critical need for health care services, particularly for hard working adults struggling to make ends meet,” said Pat Montemurro, Clinical Manager. “Free and Charitable Clinics Month gives us an opportunity to welcome our neighbors and to share the progress we’ve made and the services we provide.”
“The opening of our dental clinic is our response to the need of the community, “ said Dr. Joseph Hagenbruch, Dental Director. “With the partnership of the Foglia Family Foundation, the McHenry County Community Foundation, the McHenry County Department of Health, the McHenry County Board, and the, we were able to move, repair and purchase the equipment and the build out needed to make this dream a reality.”
Dental services are currently limited to FHPC patients until additional volunteer dentists can be recruited. Residents must have incomes at or below 250% of the federal poverty level.
