Lucy’s Comedy Cafe

Now in its eighth season and selling out almost every event, Lucy’s Comedy Café is one of Raue Center’s longest running programs and the cornerstone of their comedy programming. This hilarious series has featured amazing regional and national comedians including Dwayne Kennedy, Rocky LaPorte, Patti Vasquez, John DaCosse, Mike Preston, Pat Tomasulo, Tim Benker and so many more.

March 3, Lucy’s Comedy Cafe will welcome Mike Preston, Adam Gulley, and Keith Bender!

Mike Preston is a comic, author, self appointed anti-social worker. Having endured years in the trenches of social work, assisting people in various states of psychological disarray, he has all but abandoned political correctness, and opted to shine a big bright light on society, illuminating the entertainment aspect of the human condition.

Adam Gulley was a finalist in the San Diego Comedy Festival, Milwaukee Comedy Festival,  and has opened for TJ Miller, Bobcat Goldthwait, Hannibal Burress, Josh Wolf. He also runs the comedy collective Crank’d Up Comedy at The Comedy Shrine.

Keith Bender has become one of the hottest comedians on the rise today. A native of Chicago, in the lunchroom and on the school bus is where Keith would find his niche for making people laugh. After being challenged by a friend to get on stage to see if he was really funny, Bender began writing material and taking command of the stage. He has worked with various comedians including D.L. Hughley, Rob Schneider, Eddie Griffin, Ron White and John Witherspoon. Keith’s physical style, creative voices and sound effects bring laughter to all.

JUST ANNOUNCED! WGN Radio personality, John DaCosse, has taken over as curator of Lucy’s Comedy Cafe! During his 30+ years in stand-up comedy, the brilliant John DaCosse has developed a solid reputation nationwide. He has opened for big names like Ellen DeGeneres, George Lopez, Craig Ferguson and Billy Gardell. John has appeared on NBC, Comedy Central and TBS. Mr. DaCosse has also served as an audience warm-up for Rosie O’Donnell and The Oprah Winfrey Show.
