PTSD Dinner

PTSD awareness and resource dinner at 5 p.m. Sept. 16 at the VFW, 3002 Route 120, McHenry. Guest speakers, live entertainment and resource vendors are planned for the evening.

Retired Maj. Gen. James Mukoyama will speak on the topic of moral injury, which is similar to psychological trauma and can be common in wartime.

Community organizations that help veterans – such as Transforming Lives through Service to Veterans and Lutheran Church Charities, which runs a comfort dog program – will speak at the event. America’s Bombshell Patriot show from Letters From Home, presented by First in Flight Entertainment, will take place after the talk.

People can make a reservation by contacting Lungren at dwanelungren@hotmail.com. Tickets are $50 each and include dinner.
