Sage to Expand
Sage Products slated for big expansion within next five years.
A 27-acre expansion of Sage Products in Cary is expected to create 350 jobs through 2021. The company, which had sales of $430 million in 2015, has seen 12 consecutive years of double-digit growth and is now seeking more space, according to Mike Nygren, director of marketing communications.
The medical device maker plans to buy the vacant land east of its property in the first phase of the project, which would also include building a 200,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution expansion with relocated shipping docks and added parking, according to Cary Village Administrator Chris Clark.
About 50 new warehousing and distribution jobs are expected to be created by 2018, he added.
