Heart and Soul
Soulful Prairies harnesses the healing power of nature and horses for all to experience.
Soulful Prairies in rural Woodstock is an 80-acre haven for people and animals alike. Owner Linda Bruce purchased the land –formerly Country Cabin Orchards – six years ago with the vision of offering people a place to step out of the hustle and bustle of daily life experience the healing powers of horses and nature.
Her vision was backed by experience and passion in this sort of work. An Equine Gestalt Coach, Bruce is an expert on the horse-human healing movement and holds degrees in social work and counseling. Her education and experience combined with the natural setting of Soulful Prairies has enabled her vision to become reality.
Back to Basics
When you set foot on the property, you feel as if you are going back to a simpler time – and it’s all by design. Bruce restored the property back to a less developed, sustainabile setting complete with a beekeeper that sells local honey, restored wetlands, community garden, a historic log cabin, a CSA, chickens and horses.
A beautiful new horse riding arena for Gestalt equine therapy and a barn with a loft for special events, classes and more.
Soulful Prairies is a multi-use property where groups are invited to book equine clinics, team-building workshops, private events and retreats. But you don’t have to organize your own event, there are many regular soul-restoring events that you are welcome to join. The following are just a few upcoming events:
