Free meals to be offered for Crystal Lake youth this summer.
Crystal Lake youth under the age of 18 are invited to enjoy a free lunch Monday through Friday this summer at several Crystal Lake locations.
A new summer meals program – sponsored by Summer Lunch Volunteers and Northern Illinois Food Bank with the support of the Crystal Lake Park District – will offer nutritious lunches at Ladd Park on Devonshire Lane in Crystal Lake. Boxed lunches and milk will be served on-site from 11:30 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday (weather permitting). Light entertainment will be provided. The program, which is free and open to Crystal Lake youth under the age of 18, starts on June 6 and runs through August 25. For more, visit solvehungertoday.org.
