Rock n Roll Clothing Showroom in McHenry County Welcomes Everyday Rockstars

As the pandemic lingers, many miss the feeling of standing beside monstrous speakers, sipping a cold drink and watching our favorite bands.

Thankfully, there’s a place to scratch that itch: The Wornstar clothing showroom.

Located at 9240 Trinity Drive in Lake In The Hills, Wornstar conceptualizes, designs and creates authentic rock n roll clothing for local and national rock stars and the fans who love them.

Headliner-Worthy Comfort & Style

Founders Stephen and Sylvia Jensen started Wornstar clothing in 2009 with one thing in mind: Creating authentic rock n roll clothing with a high-quality feel. “We wanted to recreate the feeling of that favorite, ultra-soft worn-in t-shirt, which sparked the name Wornstar,” Stephen explained.

Alongside master seamstress Sylvia, the two built the company from the ground up. “All Wornstar clothes are worn in to wear out, and made with our blood, sweat and ‘shears’,” Sylvia said. “They are light and comfortable enough to be worn on stage or on the tour bus,” she added, or in your at-home green room, listening to your favorite classic records!

Rock of Ages

Stephen’s passion for photography, design and music began during his formative teen years, ultimately leading him to his current passion of Wornstar Clothing.

“I played my first gig at the world-famous Limelight in Chicago when I was only 17, and have remained in the industry ever since,” he explained.

Throughout his career, Stephen has designed guitars and album covers for artists across many genres of music including Pantera to the Led Zeppelin Stern pinball machine. Additionally, Stephen served as Chicago Chapter Chair of the Grammy Craft Committee.

Few know the ins and outs of rock n roll quite like Stephen, and he’s been able to cross his insider knowledge and aesthetics over to the Wornstar brand.
