Hone your skills and build your confidence on stage with this beginner’s improv class. This four-week class will take students through the fundamental tools and skills of improvisational comedy. Through group play, students will learn what it takes to create scenes that are not only funny but smart and dynamic. Through exercises, we will explore ways to create environments in which creativity and improvisational freedom can thrive. Class will finish with a short showcase for friends and family. Miriam Naponelli is a graduate from The Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University with a BFA in Acting. Since graduating, Miriam has made a career in theater administration working as the Director of Marketing at Spotlight Youth Theater then at Raue Center for the Arts. Miriam is no stranger to theater education as she has taught improv as well as character acting for several youth theater companies.Miriam has been an ensemble member of GreenRoom Improv for the past 13 years. She is proudly represented by Lily’s Talent.
Her recent theater credits include; WSRep: Sylvia (Sylvia), WSRep: Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Suzanne/Countess/Admirer). Other credits include, AT&T Cool Factor (Susan, Host).
