Pioneer Center for Human Services is hosting their annual Empty Bowls Art Auction to benefit homelessness on Sunday, October 16th at 2:00 at the Raue Center for the Arts. During the event, guests will walk through an exclusive, one-day only gallery comprised of works created by artists depicting homelessness through themes such as of hope, resiliency, support, help and encouragement.
Through our 4th Annual Empty Bowls Art Auction event we hope to increase awareness of homelessness services in McHenry County by collaborate professionally with the fine arts community. The art gallery will be created through partnering with local artists who will create portraits and imagery that examine homelessness. Through their creative voices, attendees will be provided with a new light in which to view the need for homeless services in our county. When telling a story, often words cannot do justice to what you are describing. Artists captivate and empower our story through their artwork to the community.
Guests enjoy perusing the works by regional artists and meet them first-hand through this shared experience. Silent art auction includes a variety of mediums: woven arts, painting, pottery, digital art, photography, sculpture, mixed media, charcoal illustration and much more.
Join us for this emotional event that brings home the message that everyone experiences struggles and everyone is worthy of help. Homelessness touches so many families. Funds raised will provide food, shelter, employment assistance and programs to the Homeless at McHenry County PADS managed by Pioneer Center for Human Services.
Buy your tickets today and enjoy live music by Stan Dard Project band, hors d’oeuvres, desserts and a cash bar.
