Join Us in Creating a Pollinator Paradise!
The Bull Valley Garden Club is teaming up with The Land Conservancy of
McHenry County to plant a Pollinator Garden at the Thompson Road Farm
Project-and we need YOU!
When? Friday, May 30 & Saturday, May 31, 2025
Where? Thompson Road Farm Project (East from Woodstock on 120: turn right at
Thompson Rd which is first turn after light at Fleming Rd. Go ½ mile to TRFP. West from
McHenry on 120: turn left at the stoplight at Thompson Rd. Go approximately 1 ⅓ miles to
TRFP. Parking lot is on South side of Thompson Rd.)
Volunteer Shifts: 9am-12pm and/or 1pm-4pm (join for one or both days!)
With the help of a Plant America grant from The Garden Clubs of America, we'll be
installing native plants to create a beautiful, pollinator-friendly space that wil enhance
the hiking and walking experience for all visitors.
What You'll Do:
• Plant native species
• Establish a cardboard protective system
• Water & mulch assigned areas
What to Bring: Gardening tools, gloves, and a passion for nature!
Come be a part of something truly special-help us restore and beautify this space while
supporting pollinators and native wildlife!
