Making lists have turned to Amazon wish lists and now, you don’t even have to go inside a store to do present or grocery shopping for the holiday. But how did we get to here? When we compare Mary’s preparation for her journey to what ours would be today, we get the sense that life was so much simpler in her day. Harder in many ways, but less complicated. Is our desire for the perfect Christmas complicating things? Is our goal of making memories making migraines instead?
