Nicola’s passion for floriculture and photography combined with Nancy’s passion for all things light and photography combine the best of two worlds in this Saturday morning workshop. Group and individual instruction gently guide you through the creative process and help you find your individual voice.

Still life can be as simple as shooting your plate of food [in beautiful light without your spouse’s leg distracting] to artfully creating a photographic image that is print worthy. Learning how to really see light, shadow, texture, color, framing, juxtaposition and other elements will change the way you see. Learning how to use your camera, lenses and props to create the image will change the way you shoot.

Students will be guided in their scene and staging design with a plethora of staging props provided by us, walked through the gardens to choose their flora to include and then return back to their individual work areas to create their final still life under the tutelage of Nicola and Nance. This portion of the workshop also includes an individual charcuterie box to nibble through while creating.

Like we said – the best of two worlds.
