CLB Adds New Beers
If you follow the local craft beer scene, names like Beach Blonde, Wake Maker, Busted Prop, Fox Rocker and Slalom King probably ring a bell. Those are Crystal Lake Brewing’s g0-to beers that you see on tap and on the shelves at stores. Great news for beer geeks, its most popular seasonal and specialty beers will soon be available in convenient 6-packs.
“Our focus will always be on our core brands,” said John O’Fallon, co-founder. “But these specialty beers allow us to be more creative and keep things fresh. One of the benefits of being small and local is that we can try different things and tailor our products to what’s popular and interesting here in the northwest suburbs.”
Available the first week of April, the company’s “Spring Fever” raspberry-hibiscus ale and “Too Much Cologne” German-style Kölsch will be the first of the limited-production beers to find a home on store shelves.
Limiting production of these seasonal and specialty beers ensures that a variety of styles become available throughout the year. Upcoming 6-packs include the summer-time “Backflip” Belgian witbier, “Reel Hazy” New England IPA, “Last Cast” blood orange IPA and “Frozen Over” English brown ale.
