A Day at Petersen Farm

The eleventh annual A Day at Petersen Farm will take place at McHenry’s historic farm on Sunday, June 24th from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. The City of McHenry Landmark Commission will partner with the McHenry County Farm Bureau including 4H members to bring a wonderful free day of history (with the house & barn open), agriculture – antique tractors & equipment, music – Cheryl Niemo & the Downhome Boys, magician – Dave Sarnwick, hayrides, farm animals, children’s activities, craft demonstrations and farm gardens plus displays by the McHenry Garden Club. This year two new attractions will be added: the first is an archeology display with artifacts while the second will be a Native American display which will also include maps & artifacts. Food trucks will provide fast food & beverages. Last year over 2200 people enjoyed a great day in the country!
