Free Community Clinic
Immanuel Lutheran Ministries wants to help area families get the new school year off to a healthy start, with its 5 th Annual Community Clinic, on Saturday, July 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 300 S. Pathway Ct., Crystal Lake.
The Clinic will feature Ronald McDonald House’s Mobile Care, which will offer free back to school physicals and immunizations to school-age children, from kindergartners to high school seniors.
“We’ve previously held our Clinic in the fall, but moving it to July allows us to help families with children get the immunizations they’re required to have for school, free of charge. We’re very excited to be able to serve the community in this way,” said organizer Bob Dorn, of Immanuel Lutheran Ministries.
In addition, the Clinic will offer free medical screenings for adults and kids, dental screenings, vision screenings, hearing screenings, chiropractic screenings, all provided by licensed medical professionals. Other services include an on-site hair salon offering free haircuts, a personal services/community resource expo, free backpacks and school supplies, free lunch, and a visit from the Northern Illinois Food Bank’s mobile food truck.
The Community Clinic is organized by four McHenry County Lutheran churches, Immanuel Lutheran and Prince of Peace, both in Crystal Lake, Crosspoint, in Lakewood, and Fellowship of Faith, in McHenry. For more information, visit http://immanuelcl.org/
