Holiday Open House

December 1, 2018 · 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

The McHenry  County Historical Society will host a month-long quilt contest and show kicking off with its annual Holiday Open House from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the county historical museum, 6422 Main St. in Union.

This year’s Rock Around the Quilted Tree show and contest theme is “Silver & Gold.” Quilters are invited to enter their favorite predominately silver and gold quilts in the month-long show. The first 25 bed-size quilt entries will be displayed as Christmas trees. The entries can be traditional, holiday, winter, or contemporary. All quilt-makers regardless of experience, both amateur and professional, are invited to participate in this strictly fun show.
