Cary Park District’s track and field clinics are an outstanding way to enhance athletic performance in track and field events.
Each clinic focuses on different components of track and field. They are perfect if your child is interested in participating and competing at the junior high or high school levels. All sessions are designed for athletes in grades 3-8 and are held from 5:30-7:30 pm at Cary Grove High School and meet in Hallway B.
The Jumps, Hurdles, and Plyometric Agilities Clinic includes instruction on proper warm up, running form, foundational principles of long jump, triple jump, high jump, hurdle warm up and starts. Athletes learn safe landing and balancing skills critical to plyometric training used in all sports. The first session is held Tuesday, February 5. The second session is held on Thursday, March 14. Cost for each session is $15 for residents and $20 for non-residents.
