Summer Concerts in the Park

Oakwood Hills
Tuesday, June 11, 7 p.m.
Oakwood Hills Community Park, Fawn Ridge Drive, Oakwood Hills
Glowby the Bubbler will keep the kids entertained from 5:45-6:45 p.m. until the Crystal Lake Community Band Concert begins at 7 p.m.

Thursdays, June 13-July 18, 7 p.m.
Lions Park Bandshell, 1170 Silver Lake Road

Wind down a hot and busy summer day with an evening in the park enjoying soulful songs, rock favorites, and local talent with family and friends. Cary Park District’s Summer Concerts in the Park offers a wide variety of musical genres in its 2019 lineup including pop, country, rock and roll hits and oldies.

Tuesdays, July 9 & July 23, 7-8:30 p.m.

Deicke Park, 11419 Route 47, Huntley
Pack up your chairs and head on over for a fun summer night! Join the Huntley Park District for free, family-friendly concert in Deicke Park. Ethan Bell Band will perform July 9, and Shout Out will perform July 23.

Storytime at the Splash Pad

Mondays, June 17 & July 29, 2:30 p.m.
Sunset Park Splash Pad, 5200 Miller Road, Lake in the Hills
Join the AAPLD Librarians at the Sunset Park Splash Pad for a fun story-time-filled afternoon with stories, songs, dancing, and a craft to bring home.

Picnic in the Park

Friday, June 28, 7-8:30 p.m.
Deicke Park, 11419 Route 47, Huntley

Pack a dinner (or purchase on site) and get ready for a fun summer evening in Deicke Park. DJ Don Esposito will be taking live requests while families enjoy time together.

Kids’ Party in the Park

Friday, July 19, 7 p.m.-Dusk
Main Beach, 300 Lakeshore Drive, Crystal Lake
Enjoy a free summer evening on the lake with lots of kids’ games and activities, entertainment, and ice cream eating contest! Bring your blanket as you snuggle under the stars and watch the blockbuster movie LEGO 2. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Main Beach Pavilion Room.

Flick ‘n Float: Mary Poppins Returns

Tuesday, August 9, 8:30-10:30 p.m.
Lions Armstrong Memorial Pool, 500 Longwood Drive, Algonquin
Watch Mary Poppins Returns while floating in the Lions Armstrong Memorial Pool this summer! The facility features a 1-meter spring diving board, lap pool, interactive splash pad area, and pool deck complete with chaise lounges.
